Explorations Unlimited offers technical SCUBA diving training including cave diving, O2ptima FX Closed Circuit Rebreather and mixed gas (Trimix) diving. Located in High Springs, the heart of North Florida cave country, we offer guided cave dives in Florida as well as in Akumal in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. All classes and excursions are limited to small groups of 2-3 in order to provide a high-level of individual attention and personal service.

| My name is Scott Byars and I look forward to diving with you. My own diving career began in Texas in 1996. I was soon actively teaching and Trimix-diving off the coasts of Florida, Cayman, Honduras and in the Texas Flower Gardens. In 2002, I took my first cave class and started making the 17-hour pilgrimage to Florida as often as possible to cave dive. I then studied technical cave in Mexico and after a brief stint running dive charters in the British Virgin Islands, moved to Florida where my 17-hour commute to cave dive became 17-minutes from my home in High Springs.
Cave diving and technical diving is my passion. I enjoy all types of technical diving including multiple stages, sidemount, closed circuit rebreather (CCR) and, of course, DPV (scooters).
I am not a full-time instructor. I teach a maximum of two classes per month and reserve the rest of my time for personal diving. This real world diving allows me to constantly challenge myself, hone my skills and learn new techniques. It keeps me excited about diving and allows me to bring new ideas to my students.
